A site you can change yourself

A Website You Cannot Edit
Is a Website That Goes Stale.
WordPress, Built
to Be Used.

WordPress runs a large share of the web because it lets an owner change their own prices, photos and pages without ringing an agency. Built badly it becomes slow, fragile and plugin-dependent. We build the version you can actually run.

The problem

Most WordPress Sites Are Slow Because of How They Were Built.

A purchased theme, twenty plugins to make it behave, and an owner who cannot change a price without raising a ticket. The platform gets the blame, but almost none of that is WordPress.

  • A marketplace theme carrying features you will never use
  • Plugins stacked to patch what the theme cannot do
  • Pages nobody on your team dares edit
  • Updates left undone because something might break
  • Logins held by whoever built it

Our approach

What we do differently.

Designed, then built

We design your site and build to that design. Buying a theme and bending it is faster for us and worse for you, and it is why so many WordPress sites feel alike.

Handed over properly

Training before launch, every login in your name, and pages laid out so the parts you change often are obvious and safe to touch.

How it works

Straight steps. You always know what happens next.

  1. 1

    Scope and design

What the site needs to do, which pages earn their place, and how it should look. You see the design before anything is built.

  2. 2

    Build lean

Custom build, minimal plugins, speed and security handled as part of the work rather than bolted on at the end.

  3. 3

    Train and hand over

We walk your team through editing it, hand over every login, and stay available if you want ongoing care.

What we actually do

WordPress builds include

Design and build

  • Custom design rather than a marketplace theme
  • Lean plugin set, each one there for a reason
  • Speed work: images, caching and what loads when
  • Mobile treated as the primary layout, not an afterthought

Security and handover

  • Hardened login and an agreed update plan
  • Backups in place before any change goes live
  • Editor training for your team
  • Every login issued in your name

What clients say

Real Google reviews, specific feedback from business owners we work with.

"I decided to work with Lance after a strong recommendation from Melbourne, and it was one of the best decisions I've made. Lance and his team excel at clear communication, prompt delivery, and valuable insights. Their personalised approach and outstanding creativity truly differentiate them in the crowded digital marketing scene."
Si Family Lawyer
"Lance and his team have been amazing to work with. They communicate clearly, deliver quickly, and even went above and beyond by giving me extra advice for my business along the way. In the digital marketing space, you often pay a lot and rarely come across a team that's truly good — but Lance and Windpixel Digital are the real deal."
Keegan Green

We quote after scoping the pages and what the site has to do, so the number does not move once work begins.

  • Optional care plan for updates and backups
  • Perth-based team; you talk to people who do the work

Common questions

Straight answers to what most owners ask before they start.

Do you use a theme or build custom?
We design the site and build it to that design. A purchased theme carries features you will never use and settings you did not choose, and it is why so many WordPress sites feel slow and look like each other.
Will I be able to edit it myself?
That is the reason to use WordPress. We set the pages up so the parts you change often are obvious and safe to edit, and we walk your team through it before handover.
Is WordPress slow?
Badly built WordPress is slow, usually from a heavy theme and a stack of plugins that all load on every page. A lean build on decent hosting is fast, and speed is part of the build rather than something we bolt on afterwards.
Is WordPress secure?
Most WordPress breaches come through outdated plugins and weak logins rather than WordPress itself. We harden the login, keep the plugin count low, and agree an update plan so the site does not drift out of date.
Who owns the site when it is done?
You do. The site, the domain, the hosting and every login are in your name. If you move on, you take all of it with you and nothing is held hostage.
Should I use WordPress or something else?
WordPress suits businesses that want to edit their own content regularly. If your site is small and rarely changes, or you need something more custom than a CMS, we will say so and quote the appropriate build instead.
Are you based in Perth?
Yes. Windpixel is Perth-based (Wattle Grove), working with businesses across the eastern suburbs and wider Perth.

Before you commit

We Will Tell You If WordPress Is the Wrong Tool.

If your site is small and rarely changes, or what you need is more custom than a CMS handles well, WordPress adds maintenance you do not need. We would rather scope the right build than default to the familiar one.

Tell us what your business does and what you need the site to handle. We will scope the pages and come back with a fixed price.

No obligation. We tell you straight if we are not the right fit.
